Michael J. Hartt is the owner of the Hartt Antiques Gallery, a private corporation engaged in the appraisal, acquisition and sale of antiques and collectibles. Mr. Hartt has been an executive with major automotive-related corporations in southeast Michigan, and in a former avocation that has become his primary professional focus, he has been actively engaged in the purchase and sale of antiques and collectibles (furniture, fine art, jewelry, and decorative arts) since 1973. He has attended hundreds of major antique and collectibles auctions and estate sales throughout the United States, and is a well-known collector of museum-quality American furniture and related collectibles. Mr. Hartt has appraised, purchased and sold thousands of items from auctions and estate sales and is widely respected by his peers and practitioners in the local and national auction and appraisal industry.
